Speakers are asked to submit a 2 page position paper including (1) a short description of their most relevant IVA systems and applications, (2) the current state of their architecture and standardization efforts, (3) how they see the future of IVA architectures and standardization, (4) an overview of the topics they are interested in discussing and (5) a short biographical sketch.

Paper instructions can be found here: WASIVA-AuthorInstructions (PDF). Download the LaTeX paper template WASIVA-LaTeX-Template (zip), and the Word template WASIVA-Word-Template (zip).

Papers will be evaluated on relevance to the workshop, technical quality, originality of the ideas presented, significance of the suggestions for the discussion, suitability to discuss suggested topic(s) within an afternoon session of about 3-4 hours (suggestions aren’t too detailed and technical but also not too vague and abstract), and clarity of presentation.

Papers must not exceed 2 pages (excluding the references and biography sketches) and must be submitted in PDF format as email attachment at the following address: hvanwelbergen[ AT ]techfak.uni-bielefeld[ DOT ]de

Please specify as subject: “WASIVA paper submission [main author full name]”
Make sure to include in the body the following information:

  • Contact author’s full name
  • Contact author’s email address
  • Availability for participation at the workshop: [yes | no]  and number of authors attending*

All accepted papers will be published (with DOI) in the “Bielefeld eCollections” open access repository. The authors of the 10 best papers will be invited to give a short (10 minute) presentation in the morning session of the workshop.

We strongly encourage at least one author to participate at the workshop and present the paper. Submissions of those not participating will be included in a separate section of the workshop proceedings.
